Upcycled Fiber

Union, a self portrait of my partner and I in embrace was created in honor of our love and time together. All materials for the piece were made of upcycled materials including a thrifted frame from my artist studio neighbor, scrap lace from a bridal shop owned by a friend's mother, embroidery floss from my childhood, and cotton from my late grandmother's dress. The figures are mimicking the infamous Pompeii lovers.
